An interfaith network empowering faith leaders to transform communities since 2004.
INERELA+ Kenya — the International Network of Religious Leaders Living with or Personally Affected by HIV (Kenya Chapter) — was established in 2004 to mobilize and empower religious leaders and faith communities to address pressing social and health challenges.
For over two decades, we have worked alongside churches, mosques, faith-based organizations, community groups and development partners to promote health, dignity, inclusion and social transformation. Our work is rooted in the belief that faith leaders are uniquely positioned to inspire positive change, challenge harmful stigma and influence attitudes and behaviours within their communities.
Through advocacy, capacity building, health promotion, gender justice and community mobilization, we empower religious leaders to become champions of hope, compassion and resilience.
To equip, empower and engage religious leaders living with or personally affected by HIV and TB to live positively and openly as heralds of change within their faith communities and counties.
A nation where HIV and TB related stigma, transmission and deaths are eliminated through the active participation of religious leaders — empowered faith communities championing dignity, equality, compassion and sustainable development for all.
We mobilize the moral authority and trust of religious leaders to inspire health, hope and dignity.
We unite churches, mosques and faith communities across traditions around a shared mission.
We defend the dignity and rights of people living with HIV, women, youth and the marginalized.
We build local capacity so communities lead their own lasting transformation.
